Over the years, Marathi cinema has evolved in many aspects. We’ve witnessed great diversity in Indian cinema and Marathi cinema has always entertained us with some fresh, unique, and brilliant films. Actress, Shikha Talsania, is all set to step foot in the Marathi cinema world as she will be seen in SonyLIV’s upcoming Marathi series, ‘Shantit Kranti.’

The storyline ‘Shantit Kranti’ revolves around the essence of friendship and its true meaning. Shikha will be playing the role of a yoga practitioner and her character will explain the importance of mental health and meditation. The biggest challenge for her was the language but her commitment and passion towards what she loves doing, helped her to train well and learn the language in a very short span of time.

In a recent statement given to the media, the actress said, “It has been an exhilarating experience shooting for ‘Shantit Kranti.’ Initially, it was challenging to perform while speaking a language that I wasn’t very comfortable with. But I had the best coach, Chetan, who is also one of the writers of the show, he was extremely patient, very encouraging, and literally helped me pick up the language with ease. I also had the best directors, co-actors, and the entire team that truly watched out for me and guided me with my pronunciations, etc. I’m excited to start a journey with SonyLIV by being part of a fun-filled project that helped me look beyond and learn.”

The series is directed by Sarang Sathaye and Paula McGlynn and I am sure that fans are in for a treat. I am super excited about this one and can’t wait to see what Shikha and the team have in store for us, especially when it’s her debut in the Marathi entertainment world.
