Just yesterday, the iconic lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret announced that they are set to drop their old ways to evolve and adapt to the needs and wants of today’s global women — no matter what background, shape or size.

Victoria’s Secret has had a reputation of catering to the male gaze, with lingerie generally made only for models and celebrities of a certain socially-constructed image. But now, they have launched something called the Victoria’s Secret Collective where a bunch of revered women from various different walks of life have come together to create revolutionary and inclusive products, inspiring content, new programs and rally support for causes that matter to women all over the world. And making us all proud get again, we have Priyanka Chopra Jonas as one of the founding partners/ambassadors of the #VSCollective and advisor to the brand.

Sharing her excitement about this, PC took to her Instagram to point out the many reactions that women all over have had to this news. She shared that she is so excited and inspired to create ‘meaningful change at one of the world’s most iconic brands’. She shared tweets of women who welcomed this change with open arms, saying they can’t wait to see Victoria’s Secret cater to the women and not the male gaze. Another women commented that she could never buy a bra at the Victoria’s Secret store before as she felt out of place for being bigger. She says that she is now excited for the rebrand.
