Tamil film superstar Ajith received a bomb threat call on May 31. It was later confirmed that it was a hoax and the caller has been identified by the Chennai Police. This is the fourth time the actor has received such a call.
Reportedly, after the police were informed about the bomb threat call, a team arrived at Ajith’s house located in Chennai’s Injabakkam area and a few dogs surrounded the house. The police conducted a search till late in the night but did not found anything suspicious. The police then investigated and tracked back the caller who has been identified as Dinesh, a mentally ill person who lives in the Marakkanam town of Tamil Nadu.
Ajith had first received a threat call in 2014 which later turned out to be a hoax. In 2017, the actor received a similar call leading to panic and an extensive search on his property by the police. For the third time, he received a call in July of last year. It, too, turned out to be a false alarm. Last year, a man identified as Bhuvanesh from Marakkanam was caught by the police for making the false call.
Meanwhile, Dinesh is a repeat offender, Reportedly, he had called up Tamil film superstars Rajinikanth and Thalapathy Vijay as well in the past with a similar bomb scare. When Rajinikanth came to know of the boy’s condition he offered financial assistance for his education.
